The VR Health Champions Open Call 2025 is now accepting applications from SMEs across Europe working on breakthrough XR healthcare solutions. Selected participants will receive up to €40,000 in funding and join a pan-European innovation ecosystem.
We are seeking ambitious small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to collaborate with five flagship XR healthcare innovators and help fast-track their solutions to market readiness. This unique opportunity is open to start-ups, scale-ups, and service providers working in MedTech and digital health — particularly those specialising in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and related digital solutions for healthcare. It’s also an excellent fit for organisations aiming to expand their presence within the European innovation landscape.
Successful applicants will benefit from:
• Up to €40,000 in cascade funding
• Strategic pairing with one of our five flagship projects

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
• Qualify as an SME under EU Recommendation 2003/361/EC
• Be legally established in:
o A region covered by the VRHC consortium
o A less developed EU region
o An outermost region of the EU
• Demonstrate at least one year of business or professional activity
