We encourage researchers, developers and professionals to submit their work to the M-PaSTIVE workshop at IEEE ICIP 2026
VR Health Champions is proud to organise and support the workshop “Multimodal Perception and Skill Training in Immersive Virtual Environments (M-PaSTIVE)”, held as part of the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing 2026 in Tampere, Finland.
The workshop will take place on 17 September 2026 as an official satellite event within the ICIP 2026 programme and will focus on immersive virtual environments designed for professional skill training, healthcare, rehabilitation and education.
M-PaSTIVE brings together experts working on:
- signal processing
- computer vision
- multimodal learning
- immersive virtual environments
- VR/AR/XR technologies
- motion tracking and gaze estimation
- AI-supported interactive systems
- healthcare and training applications
The workshop aims to create a space for discussion around the development of immersive and interactive environments that support skill acquisition, realistic simulation and adaptive training experiences. Particular attention will be given to multimodal perception, real-time interaction and intelligent systems supporting professional education and healthcare applications.
The event is organised by researchers involved in the VR Health Champions initiative and partner institutions, including the University of Latvia and Lodz University of Technology.
We especially encourage submissions presenting:
- novel VR/AR/XR training applications
- multimodal interaction methods
- immersive healthcare solutions
- AI-supported learning environments
- perception and behaviour analysis in virtual environments
- user studies and validation research
Submission deadline: 20 May 2026
We invite the research and professional community to contribute their work and join the discussion on the future of immersive training and healthcare technologies.
