Help Shape the Future of VR-Based Cognitive Assessment

Within the VR Health Champions, healthcare professionals are invited to contribute insights supporting the development of Cogniclear VR, a new multidomain cognitive assessment delivered through a virtual reality environment.

Why Clinical Expertise Matters

As cognitive impairment becomes increasingly prevalent across ageing populations, clinicians face persistent pressure to identify subtle deficits early and accurately. Emerging technologies, such as virtual reality, may help standardise and enrich assessment; however, their clinical relevance must be shaped by those who work directly with patients.

Cogniclear VR aims to offer a short, spaced cognitive evaluation that provides a comprehensive understanding of multiple cognitive abilities affected by impairment, captured through a structured VR experience. Before validation proceeds, the tool must be grounded in real-world clinical needs and diagnostic practices.

“Virtual reality opens the door to standardised multidomain assessment, but its value should never be defined by technology alone. Tools like Cogniclear VR must serve the realities of clinical decision-making and complement the judgement of healthcare professionals. We believe that early-stage diagnostic innovation should be shaped by those who work with cognitive impairment every day — neurologists, psychiatrists, geriatricians, neuropsychologists, occupational therapists and others. Their guidance is essential for building solutions that genuinely support clinical practice.” — Amir Bozorgzadeh, CEO of Virtuleap

The VR Health Champions project accelerates the testing and validation pathway for such solutions, ensuring that development is guided by clinical relevance rather than by technology alone.

Share Your Clinical Perspective

Healthcare professionals experienced in cognitive evaluation are invited to complete a short 5-minute questionnaire. Your expertise will help define how VR-based assessment tools can support early diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
